140 seperate photos stacked upon each other to show the rotation of Earth over 45 minutes. The iconic sycamore tree that stood on Hadrian’s Wall at Sycamore Gap. A much missed tree and a place I miss visiting late at night with my dogs in tow to watch the stars above while I took photographs of the tree.
In the sky above the tree on this photograph you can see the North star Polaris which lies close to celestial north and therefore at the centre of the starswirl. To the left you can see Cassiopeia (mother of Andromeda in Greek mythology) & to the left of this, 2 clusters of 20,000 stars named the Double Cluster.
A beautiful night to be out and a beautiful place to be taking photos. A much missed tree
